Melania joined GDL Architecture in 2017. Since then, she has been working as an Architectural Assistant, a position which has led her to work on extensions for residential projects, focusing on the details involving old and modern architectural designs. She also has a real passion for developing new and innovative buildings which complement and beautify the surrounding areas of her projects.
She obtained her degree in Architecture & Urban Design in 2016. With a considerable working background in both private architectural practices and large commercial firms within Argentina, she has broadened her experience in the domestic and commercial sectors.
From an early age, Melania collaborated with Charity Construction Projects around Argentina through an organization called Techo. Thanks to the joint efforts of families living in extreme poverty and young volunteers, Techo seeks to overcome different social problems and to improve the life quality of the unfortunate by building houses in vulnerable areas around South America and the Caribbean.
Melania has found another way to broaden her experience and horizons through travelling, which has been her a passion for many years. She has been to Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe, Central and South America, where she visited new places, saw different cultures and met open-minded foreigners.
She joined the committee in 2019 and is looking forward to taking action with Nawic’s School Mentoring Programs. She is also the Assistant Social Media Coordinator and is passionate about encouraging young women to seek a career in the Construction Industry.
At the moment, Melania is preparing herself to undertake her Part III(PGDip) at Newcastle University.
