Holly York

Holly is an RIBA Chartered Architect and the founding Principal of HYO Architecture.

She achieved a Part 1 degree in Architecture and Environmental Design at Sheffield Hallam University and a Part 2 degree at The Cass, London Metropolitan University. She returned to the North East to complete her Part 3 degree at Newcastle University and now lives and works in Northumberland.

Holly has experience across a range of sectors including residential, student accommodation, hospitality, commercial, education and SEND facilities and has worked in Practices of varying sizes in Northumberland, Newcastle and Central London including FaulknerBrowns in Newcastle and more recently Seymour Architecture in Morpeth, where she worked for over 2 years before setting out to establish HYO Architecture in 2019.

Holly is an advocate for mental health awareness, wellbeing and equality in the workplace and having attended various NAWIC events in the past, she decided to join the committee in 2019 and is excited to become more involved in an association that supports and encourages women and helps promote positive relationships and engagement with others in the construction industry.
